About Al-Falah Mosque

Al-Falah Mosque, located in the heart of Orchard Road, opened its doors on 25th January 1987. The official ceremony was graced by then Minister for Environment and Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Mattar. The mosque’s roots trace back to the old Angulia Mosque at Angulia Park, the site where Wheelock Place now stands.

In 2008, Al-Falah mosque underwent its first major facelift. The renovation introduced a more efficient layout for classrooms and facilities. Following this improvement, the mosque shifted its focus towards delivering Islamic knowledge in the English language. As a result, it began attracting strong and positive responses from the congregation.

Later, in 2015, Al-Falah Mosque was selected for the Mosque Upgrading Programme (MUP). This marked the beginning of a significant renovation. The building owners granted additional space, an extended level 1, and a doubled area on level 2. Consequently, the mosque’s floor space expanded by over 500 sqm. Today, it stands as a rejuvenated worship space featuring extended prayer areas, enhanced washrooms, and improved ablution facilities. Furthermore, the mosque is now accessible to all, thanks to its barrier-free, handicap-friendly design.

Beyond infrastructure upgrades, Al-Falah Mosque continues to grow in purpose. While it maintains its niche as a youth-centric mosque, we also strive to evolve into a welcoming Harmony Center for both Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
